After the “dyeing gimmick” was exposed, Han Zheng, deputy secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the city, stated: “Establish a joint investigation team immediately to thoroughly investigate the case. Every link must be verified, severely punished according to law, and be held accountable in a timely manner.”
